Muncie, Indiana, formerly known as Buckongahelas Town, is a city located in east-central Indiana, about 50 miles northeast of Indianapolis. It is the principal city in Delaware County, and is named after the legendary head of Delaware. Delaware County has earned a notorious reputation as the methamphetamine capital of Indiana.
